Windows installer

If you are not experienced with the old Atari systems or emulation and you just want to play the game, use the following installer hdm-setup.exe (682 KB). It will install and configure an emulator for you!

Disk image

The game is also available to download as a disk image hdm1_01.atr (version 1.01, 130 KB).

To play the game you need a real hardware (PAL) or an Atari emulator. There are a few of them available and if you don't know how to use them, visit the help section.

Emulators

The game has been tested with the following emulators:

• Altirra - a new emulator for Windows
• Atari800Win - good emulator to play "His Dark Majesty" on Windows.
  (for the best visual experience use the following palette file OlivierP.act)
• Atari800 - multiplatform emulator.
• Atari++ - multiplatform emulator.

Atari ROM

To use an emulator you need an ATARIXL.ROM, which is distributed with the old MS-DOS emulator X-Former.
